This page facilitates important information with regard to industrial
zones and free trade zones in China. Currently, there are over 1000
industrial zones, industrial parks and free trade tax free production
zones in the country, including 276 in the Yangtze River Delta region
covering major cities like Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou; 327 in the
Pearl River Delta region extending from Guangzhou, Zhuhai to Shenzhen;
383 in Bohai Sea region stretching between Qingdao and Dalian and 167 in
the rest part of in China. These industrial zones are classified by
government sponsoring levels as five general categories, they are state
or national economic and technological zones (EIPs), Yangtze River Delta
economic development zones, Pearl River Delta economic development
zones, Bohai Ring economic development zones and other small scale local
level economic development zones. The following are selected industrial
zones that are popular locations for foreign companies to set up their
business operations or representations in China.
