For Supporting Net Lover, Teenager Killed Mother with Vicious 40 Stabs

18-year old teenager stabbed his own mother to death, just for the convenience of steeling money from home to support his net lover. The teenage has been charged for the first degree murder.

Teenager in dating frequently stole money from his parents 

18-year old Zhu Linjie is from a little town in Zhejiang Province. His parents own a supermarket in Xinzhen City, Henan province. So the family at least belongs to the middle class.

After dropping out from a middle school, Zhu was addicted to the internet. Internet bars are very popular in China. But using internet in the bars costs money. He started stealing money from parents when was a boy. He was caught and disciplined by his parents for many times. But he didn't want to stop. Instead, he chose to hang in the internet bars days and nights until spending all the money in his pocket.

The only purpose for him to go back home is to steal more money. The parents had to keep eyes on him. If for some reasons he could not steal from home, he would steal merchandises from the supermarket and sell them on street for cash at very low prices. 

In the summer of 2008, Zhu met a girl on the internet. It didn't take much time to fall in love each other. In September, Zhu traveled to the city where his girlfriend lived, with 9,000 dollars he had stolen from his parents. A week later, he moved back to Xinzhen and lived with the girl in a rented apartment.

Neither Zhu nor his girlfriend had a job. They did only two things everyday, sleep and cruise on the internet. Soon they spent every penny of that 9,000 dollars.

Killed mother with 40 vicious stabs

On December 2, 2008, Zhu slicked into the house once again to steal money. Before that he bought a baton from an underground market. But after reviewing the manual, he found out that particular baton wouldn't be able to knock out a person. So he bought a sharp folding knife and planed to kill his parents. He needed money to survive. But he was not willing to work for money. He naively believed it would be much easier for him to steal money from home if his parents were dead.

Around 10 o'clock at night, Zhu returned the home. His and his father's bedrooms were on the third floor. Waited for father going deep slept, Zhu went downstairs and entered mother's bedroom on the first floor. After making sure his mother is also slept, he suddenly pulled out the knife and viciously, randomly and repeatedly stabbed into her body until she stopped any resistance.

Zhu then washed hands and searched the entire house for money. After found 1,000 dollars, he fled the scene to join his girlfriend in the apartment and then immediately departed for her hometown that is over thousand kilometers away.

Family members ask the authority to give the teenage a chance

Zhu was arrested by police two days after he fled the crime scene.

According to the autopsy conducted by the authority, Zhu's mother suffered serious injuries in liver, lungs, head, chest and legs. The hemorrhagic shock was the direct cause for her death.

"What a hell is internet? It made a kid to kill his own mom!" Said Zhu's father in an interview with reporters. He virtually condemned the internet for causing such a disaster in his family.

Zhu was charged first degree murder yesterday. During the court session, Zhu's lawyer read a petition submitted by Zhu's grandparents, father and brother. In the petition, they expressed their enormous sadness for the loss of their daughter, wife and mother, and great angers at Zhu's action.

The petition also said, "Zhu is not a person who cannot distinguish between good and evil. As the death can not be reversed and, Zhu had expressed deep remorse, we ask judge to consider all of the facts in the case as well as the feelings of elderly grandparents, and to give Zhu a chance to start a new life."
