 Consulting
You can request a consulting service on DOT certification by phone, fax, e-mail, indicating initial objectives such as what type of product you are intending to apply for DOT certification, models and brief specifications of the products. We will evaluate your initial request and advise you of the best applicable certification programs, necessary tests and other information pertaining to the certification process, as well as a preliminary estimate of potential costs. At the same time, we will provide you with the "DOT Certification Application" and "Agent Authorization Letter" for your review.
Application
You sign and return to us the "application" and "Agent Authorization Letter" and prepare the materials required for the certification.
After receiving these documents, your case will be formally opened with us. We will then prepare in duplicate a “DOT Certification Service Authorization Agreement” (the “agreement”), defining and clarifying the duties and responsibilities of the both parties in the certification process.
Representation Agreement
You sign and seal the "agreement" to return to us, along with the initial payment in the amount as being set forth in the “agreement”. After receiving the signed and sealed “agreement” and the payment, we will designate consulting persons who are to be in charge of your project, and initiate communications with appropriate testing laboratories and associated engineers who are going to perform the required testing on your products.
Technical Support
As per your request, our project manager can provide you with further consulting on the regulatory and procedure issues related to the specific DOT safety standards and requirements for your products. There will be an addition fee for this service.
Preparation for Testing (optional)
We may, at an additional cost, collect information from the testing labs and other related authorities regarding sample and document preparations for the testing and provide you with comprehensive instructions on how to properly perform such preparations. It is your responsibility to prepare and send to us the samples and associated documentations that meet the requirements as described in the “instruction”.
Follow-up service (optional)
After the certification process is concluded, we may provide you with further value-added services such as documentation translation, payment transfer, updating information and filing for any subsequent revision certifications. These services can be contracted on an annual basis.
