Carry-on baggage
The maximum carry-on baggage allowance for each economy class passenger
is one piece that can not exceed five kilograms. First class passengers
can have second piece of the carry on luggage. Size of the carry-on
luggage may not exceed 20x40x55cm. Any carry-on baggage in excess of
these limits is subject to an excess baggage fee and must be checked.
Check-in Baggage
Adults and children are entitled to a free checked baggage allowance of
forty kilograms, for first class passengers, thirty for business class
and twenty for coach class while flying domestically in China. No free
baggage allowance is granted to infants. Group travelers are permitted
to use the baggage allowance combined if they are checked in together.
For the international flight segments, different airlines have different
baggage policies and fee schedules. Check with your airlines for
specifics before packing your luggage.
Prohibited Items
There are a variety of items that can neither be carried on board nor be
checked in, including but nut limited to flammable, explosive,
corrosive, poisonous, radioactive, polymerizable and magnetized
materials. Passengers are prohibited to carry on board any fire arms,
sharp objects and lethal weapons.
Security inspection
Passengers and their baggage, including both checked and carry-on, are
subject to security inspections before boarding an aircraft. Any
liquids, even including the alcohols that are purchased at the airport,
are not allowed to be carried on board.
